The leader of the Action Démocratique du Québec says there's nothing wrong with him waiting to put a price tag on his electoral platform.
In the first week of campaigning, Mario Dumont has made a rash of policy announcements without elaborating on the final cost of his ADQ platform.
Dumont said the ADQ's strategy to hold off releasing its financial blueprint is no different than what the federal Conservatives have done in the past.
"If I'm not wrong, that's exactly what the Conservative party did in its election," he said Tuesday. "It's the truth, and the truth can be said."
In the last two days, Dumont has twice compared the ADQ's campaign plan to the Conservative strategy in the 2006 federal election.
He said he plans to make 20 policy announcements before releasing the cost of the platform.
