P.E.I. beer prices bubble up

Last Updated: Saturday, July 31, 2010 | 3:25 PM AT

It will cost Prince Edward Islanders a little more to buy a case of beer, starting Sunday.

The price is going up by about 50 cents a dozen for most domestic and some imported beer.

The P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission says the price of some spirits and wine products will also be going up.

However, the commission says the price of spirits and beer on the Island is still lower than in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia.
