Fixtures smashed on Summerside boardwalk

Summerside police are investigating damage to more than a dozen light fixtures along the boardwalk on Water Street.

The 13 smashed fixtures are in the section of the boardwalk running between Wendy's Restaurant and Summerside Auto Parts.

All of the fixtures will need to be replaced, and police said graffiti formed part of the damage.

Police officers will be stepping up patrols of the area.
