Canada goes for gold in sledge hockey

Canada will compete for the gold medal Saturday at the World Sledge Hockey Challenge in Charlottetown.
Team Canada, the two-time defending champions, clinched a berth in the gold medal game on Wednesday with a win against Norway. The final will take place against the U.S. at the CARI Complex.
Japan and Norway will face off in the bronze-medal match, also on Saturday.
On Thursday, Canada finished the round robin with a 5-0 shutout of Japan. Greg Westlake, of Oakville, Ont., scored a hat trick while Jeremy Brooker of Ajax, Ont., and Brad Bowden of Orton, Ont., scored one each.
There were no games on Friday.
Canada is undefeated in the tournament so far and is first in the round-robin standings. The United States is at 2-1, Japan is at 1-2 and Norway at 0-3.
