P.E.I. fire officials are investigating two fires on the island in as many days.
A fire Thursday morning caused extensive damage to a house in Hazel Grove.
Investigators said the fire began in the chimney flue and quickly spread to the rest of the home.
No one was injured and the house remains standing.
Meanwhile, the provincial fire marshal's office is also looking into a fire Wednesday at a maintenance building that services the Dundarave and Brudenell River golf courses in Cardigan.
"It is a very significant loss here," said fire marshal Dave Blacquiere.
"There would be tractors and different apparatuses like that. So we're not sure on the dollar loss yet, but we're quite sure it's going to be very significant."
It appears a piece of machinery stored in the building started the fire, he said.
