Summerside's Heather Moyse is one step closer to competing in her second Olympic Winter Games, after being named to Canada's bobsleigh team for the World Cup season.

Moyse is one of seven brakemen competing for two positions on the two sleds Canada will send to the Olympics.

The members of the Canada 1 and 2 sleds at the Olympics will be decided on individual results during the World Cup season.

The P.E.I. native has been training with the national team in Whistler, B.C.

The World Cup season begins next weekend in Lake Placid, N.Y., and ends in late January in Austria.

Moyse was brakeman on the sled that finished in fourth place during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino.
