Last Updated: Thursday, November 5, 2009 | 10:45 AM ET

Ottawa's Arch Street Public school remained closed for the second day Thursday as crews clean up after a water main broke there Tuesday evening flooding the school.

Crews require at least another day to finish the work.

School principal Bambi Ross thanked students, staff and parents for their patience.

At 3 p.m. Thursday, a notice will be posted on the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board website advising parents if the school can reopen on Friday.
