Ontario Provincial Police are searching for a 15-year-old boy missing on Kamaniskeg Lake near Barry's Bay, about 200 kilometres west of Ottawa.
The boy was boating to work at the Chippewa Resort Thursday morning but never arrived, police said.
His four-metre aluminum boat was found Thursday evening. Inside were a life-jacket and his identification.
Police have not released the teenager's name.
This is the same lake where two college students died in February when their minivan broke through the ice.
Janine Lieu, 22, of Vancouver and Paul Sanders, 24, of Mitchell, Ont., and two other students from Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy had been travelling south in the minivan from Barry's Bay at the north end of the lake to shop in Combermere, at the south end.
The other two students survived.
