Ontario's Conservative leader is working to keep his job by wooing party delegates and vowing to do things differently if he's given another chance.
In a letter posted on his website, togetherwithtory.ca, John Tory says he is listening to party members who are upset about the party's election loss in October.
Some Conservatives were especially angry that Tory's controversial promise to fund all religious schools dominated the campaign and cost the party support.
But Tory says he will consult more with grassroots members when developing the party's next election platform and will give members a sneak peek before it goes to print.
Tory also says he will keep the party on firm financial footing by boosting fundraising efforts and imposing "tough measures" to control spending.
Tory is in a tough battle with party members who are lobbying hard to trigger a leadership review at the Conservative annual meeting next month in London, Ont.
