Ottawa's five Liberal ridings stayed Liberal, while its one Conservative riding stayed Conservative in Wednesday's Ontario election.
According to partial results at 11:15 p.m. ET:
- Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty easily recaptured Ottawa South.
- Liberal incumbent Madeleine Meilleur, who was minister of community and social services and minister for francophone affairs, won Ottawa-Vanier.
- Liberal incumbent Phil McNeely had a healthy lead in Ottawa-Orléans over star Progressive Conservative candidate Graham Fox.
- Liberal Yasir Naqvi took Ottawa Centre, despite strong competition from NDP candidate Will Murray in the riding vacated by Liberal Richard Patten.
- Progressive Conservative Lisa MacLeod was easily re-elected in Nepean Carleton.
