Current MLA: Joan Massey (NDP)
District profile: Primarily a middle-class, residential section of Dartmouth, this district gained areas west of Settle Lake and east of Lucien Drive in the 2003 boundary redistribution.
It includes homes along Lake Micmac, as well as a major shopping district on Main Street and the Akerley campus of the Nova Scotia Community College.
Dartmouth East is home to the Shubie Park campground and Fairbanks Interpretation Centre, as well as the neighbourhoods of Westphal and Port Wallace along the Waverley Road.
