The Nova Scotia government has given a $2.5-million loan guarantee to a seafood processor in southwestern Nova Scotia.
D. B. Kenney Fisheries Ltd. will get the financial help through the cabinet-administered Industrial Expansion Fund.
In a news release, Economic Development Minister Percy Paris says the loan will help maintain 70 jobs at the family-run business in Digby County.
The province says the seafood processor is part of a group of 14 companies and has sales of about $15 million.
The company processes and transports local seafood to domestic and international markets.
