Three masked men, armed with a knife and what's believed to be bear spray, robbed a Petro Canada gas station Saturday morning in Tantallon, west of Halifax, RCMP said.
The trio made off with a quantity of cash, cigarettes and Bonus 7 break-open lottery tickets with the store ID No. 012276, police said.
No one was injured.
Two of the robbers confronted two clerks who were outside the Westwood Boulevard gas station shortly after 5 a.m. AT, police said.
One of the culprits kept one of the clerks outside while holding a knife. He was described as a white male, wearing dark clothing and a mask that covered his face.
The other robber, who appeared to be carrying bear mace, took the other clerk inside and stole the money and goods.
He is described as a white male, about six feet tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a black hoodie; dark, baggy jeans; a black ski mask; and a grey, three-quarter-length jacket with blue on the hood, shoulders and bottom part of the coat.
The third culprit was driving the getaway car, a blue, two-door Pontiac Sunfire with a garbage bag covering the licence plate.
He was wearing a white jacket with a hood that had fur on it pulled around his face.
Police later discovered a burned car in Spryfield that they believe could be the robbers' vehicle.
Halifax RCMP are investigating.
