Imagine how a night on the town can quickly turn into a nightmare.

You're walking home when all of a sudden you're stopped. Maybe it's one thug, or 10. Maybe there's a knife. Maybe there's a ride in an ambulance.

We seem to be hearing more stories of swarmings and attacks in downtown Halifax.

But is the city really a violent and dangerous place? Are there really more assaults now than in years past? How likely are you to become a victim?

You told us your stories and shared your thoughts, then we set out on our own Night on the Town to find out.

Starting Feb. 19, join us for a special series about violence in downtown Halifax on CBC Television and Radio, and right here online.
