A Marine Atlantic worker is recovering after being knocked down and dragged by a forklift that was being operated at the ferry terminal in North Sydney, N.S.
Police in Cape Breton said the employee, a 40-year-old woman from Port aux Basques, N.L., was struck Wednesday morning by the forklift while it was carrying a large dumpster across the terminal parking lot.
Her face and leg were wounded, but the injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.
Marine Atlantic, a federal Crown corporation, operates ferries to Port Aux Basques and Argentia, N.L., from North Sydney.
Nova Scotia's Labour Department is investigating.
