Last Updated: Monday, November 2, 2009 | 11:38 AM NT

Searchers found the body of a missing hunter Sunday in the woods just west of St. John's.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabularly said the body was discovered near Foxtrap, Conception Bay South, about 30 kilometres from the city.

Const. Paul Davis, a spokesman for the RNC, said the man, who was in his 70s, was reported missing earlier in the day when he didn't return from hunting.

Davis said foul play is not suspected.
