Man killed in TCH crash outside Corner Brook

A man died Monday in a single-vehicle collision on a western Newfoundland highway.

The man lost control of his car on the Trans-Canada Highway, east of Corner Brook and near Little Rapids.

The vehicle flipped several times before slamming into a ditch.

The RCMP said the road was dry at the time of the crash, and that speed may have been a factor.

Traffic was blocked in one westbound lane of the TCH early on Monday afternoon, as crews cleaned up the scene.

The name and age of the man have not been released.
