A Dieppe, N.B., woman was sexually assaulted in her own home after someone broke in during the early hours Thursday, police say.
The 29-year-old woman was taken to hospital, treated and released, said Cpl. Mike Gaudet, of the Codiac Regional RCMP.
The incident occurred in the area of Chartersville Road and Fortune Street, he said.
The suspect is described as being five foot nine, 200 pounds, and was wearing dark-coloured clothing.
The RCMP's major crime unit and forensic identification section are investigating.
