A 47-year-old Moncton man will appear in provincial court Tuesday for a bail hearing after being charged with several offences, including committing an indecent act.
Richard Stright was arrested by Codiac RCMP in Moncton on Sunday after police received calls about a "naked guy" in the Millennium Boulevard area of Centennial Park, said Cpl. Mike Gaudet.
Two people biking along the road reported seeing a man in the nude standing near a vehicle in a gravel lot while gesturing to passersby, Gaudet said, and police responded to the scene to investigate.
When the police arrived at the scene, the individual got into the vehicle and tried to leave the area, Gaudet said.
The officers followed him and stopped him at the corner of Gordon and High Streets and found the man was completely naked, Gaudet said.
Stright has been charged with committing an indecent act, dangerous driving, operating a vehicle while disqualified and fleeing the police.
