The central New Brunswick riding is approximately 40 kilometres east of Fredericton and its geography is dominated by the Saint John River and Grand Lake. The economy is comprised mainly of mining, forestry and farming. It contains the municipalities of Minto, Chipman, Gagetown and Cambridge Narrows, and the local service districts of Codys, Coles Island, Cumberland Bay, Douglas Harbour, Hampstead, Jemseg, Whites Cove, Wickham and Youngs Cove.
