The body of a 53-year-old woman was found in the bush near Luskville, Que., on Thursday about 40 kilometres northwest of Ottawa.

Western Quebec police suspect foul play and said Friday an autopsy will be performed.

Police were called late Thursday morning when the body was found in a remote area near the north shore of the Ottawa River.

Police spent Thursday collecting evidence and interviewing people who live in cottages nearby.

The police have not released the woman's name, but are expected to release more information later on Friday.
