CBC News has projected that Liberal Leader Jon Gerrard, 59, has been re-elected in River Heights.
With 10 out of 47 polls reporting, Gerrard had 51 per cent of the vote in the Winnipeg constituency, more than twice as many votes as PC hopeful Ashley Burner.
Gerrard, who was the sole Liberal voice in the House from 1999 to 2003, ran a gaffe-free campaign, but did not deliver any knockout blows at the leaders debates and forums.
