A 30-year-old woman was killed Wednesday in a vehicle rollover just north of Winnipeg.
According to police, the woman from Gimli, Man., was driving an SUV on Highway 8 in the Rural Municipality of St. Andrews when the vehicle rolled just before 6 a.m.
She was rushed to Winnipeg's Seven Oaks Hospital then transferred to the city's Health Sciences Centre where she was pronounced dead.
Police do not believe the woman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the rollover.
The woman's 35-year-old husband, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to the Selkirk General and District Hospital in stable condition.
He was wearing a seatbelt, police said.
Icy road conditions are considered to be a factor in the rollover.
The woman's name is not being released.
