The city's 12 swine flu vaccination clinics are again fully operational after more than 90,000 doses of H1N1 vaccine arrived from federal heath officials on Monday, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority said Monday.
The health authority said there's enough vaccine to last the rest of the week.
On Friday, the authority ran out of the H1N1 vaccine with adjuvant — an additive that boosts the vaccine's effectiveness. The majority of people receive the vaccine with immune booster.
Any person of any age who needs or wants a swine flu vaccination is eligible to get the shot, regional health authority spokesperson Kathryn McBurney said in a statement.
McBurney said 170,755 people in Winnipeg have been vaccinated against the H1N1 virus since flu clinics began in late October.
City immunization clinics run from Monday to Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Locations are on the map below.
