A 22-year-old Winnipeg man was killed Monday night when the pickup truck he was driving collided with farm equipment on the Trans-Canada Highway.

Brandyn Falk was driving the pickup truck eastbound on the Trans-Canada, about three kilometres west of Highway 12, when it crashed into the back of grain trailer being pulled by a farm tractor at about 7 p.m., according to the RCMP.

Falk was rushed to Steinbach Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A 45-year-old man who was driving the farm tractor was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released.
