Shooting in The Pas leaves one man dead

One man is dead and another is in hospital in stable condition following an early morning shooting incident in The Pas, Man.
Police were called around 1:45 a.m. Saturday to an apartment building on Larose Avenue in the community, which is about 550 kilometres north of Brandon.
When they arrived they found a man seriously injured and not breathing. Police said CPR was performed on the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's age was not released but he was reported to be in his early twenties.
Another person, also reported to be in his early twenties, was found nearby. Reports said he had been shot.
That man was transported by Manitoba's medivac system to the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre.
RCMP said he was in stable condition.
Police also said that an adult male has been taken into custody. They said no charges have been laid but the investigation was continuing.
The dead man's name was not released, but police said they believe he was from northern Manitoba.
An autopsy will be conducted.
