Indigenous day of action, June 24

deanbradley.jpgClose to 2,500 marchers went from Queens' Park to Allan Gardens on June 24, 2010 to protest leaders who they believe are ignoring native rights.


Over 1,000 activists marched south down University Avenue, peacefully winding its way through the downtown. (Dean Bradley)


Over one hundred political activists carried an enormous sign reading Native Land Rights that stretched across all four lanes of traffic and stretched a block in length. (Dean Bradley)


As the march progresses through the downtown the sound of drums and signing reverberated off of the downtown buildings. (Dean Bradley)


The march finished in Allen gardens. The entire day was very festive, there were no incidents. (Dean Bradley)
