The money for the mascot came through the federal marquee tourism events program, represented by Edmonton-Mill Woods-Beaumont MP Mike Lake.

"Congratulations go to the 2010 Grey Cup championship game and festival, which will be receiving close to $150,000 over two years," the Conservative politician announced.

The money will also allow the festival, for the first time ever, to have a float in the 2009 Grey Cup Parade in Calgary, said Rick LeLacheur. That float will be used in parades across Western Canada over the next year.

The marquee tourism events program contributed $302,164 to the 2009 Grey Cup in Calgary.
