A vehicle rollover south of Hobbema, Alta., has killed one man and sent a woman to hospital with critical injuries.
RCMP in Hobbema said the crash occurred Wednesday at 2:25 p.m. after a van carrying five people went out of control on a gravel road.
One of the passengers, Shane Okeymow, 29, of the Hobbema area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 31-year-old female, was taken to an Edmonton hospital with serious to critical injuries, police said. The other three passengers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe alcohol was a contributing factor and said criminal charges are pending.
