Former Barenaked Ladies singer Steven Page, alt-country singers Neko Case and Kathleen Edwards, and American funk-soul group Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings are some of the headliners at this year's Edmonton Folk Music Festival, organizers announced Wednesday.
The festival runs Aug. 6-9 in Edmonton's Gallagher Park. Tickets go on sale Monday.
The lineup also features old festival favourites like Spirit of the West and country singers Rodney Crowell and Steve Earle as well as some acts making their festival debut, such as Halifax singer-songwriter Joel Plaskett and folk-rock group Great Lake Swimmers from Toronto.
Folk singer Iron and Wine, 70s star Boz Scaggs and world-renowned banjo player Bela Fleck will also perform at the festival.
