Jaroslav Halak is expected to be back in the net for Montreal on Tuesday, returning after an injury and a flap caused by his agent. (Richard Wolowicz/Getty Images)The Calgary Flames bring a three-game winning streak into Montreal on Tuesday night to face former teammate Mike Cammalleri and the Canadiens.
The Flames (10-4-1) begin a week that includes three road games against Northeast Division teams after outscoring opponents 8-4 during their modest win streak.
Captain Jarome Iginla is now averaging nearly a point per game after a slow start. Iginla has scored four goals and added an assist in the last three.
"We had some big road wins, and we started to play a little more disciplined and tighter defensively," said Iginla.
Daymond Langkow has added a pair of goals during the span, with Dion Phaneuf and Rene Bourque also finding the mark.
Calgary beat the New York Rangers 3-1 on Saturday, with Miikka Kiprusoff sparkling with 32 saves. The Finnish netminder has allowed more than three goals on one occasion just once this season.
Halak, agent in Twitter flap
Calgary and Montreal are meeting for the second time this season, after a 4-3 Flames win at the Pengrowth Saddledome on Oct. 6. Flames forward Eric Nystrom enjoyed a career night, scoring twice and setting up a screen on Jaroslav Halak for the game winner.
Halak unwittingly was involved in a minor flap when his agent, Allan Walsh, took to Twitter to talk up his client at the expense of goalie Carey Price after a 3-1 result Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Bell Centre.
Price finished with 18 saves, but is just 1-7 after a pair of strong outings to begin the season.
Halak could be back in the net for the first time since Halloween after dealing with a groin injury.
Brian Gionta was the lone goal scorer for Montreal, which scored just one goal in regulation for the second straight outing.
Cammalleri, with 39 goals last season in his lone campaign with Calgary, will look to burn his old teammates.
Cammalleri has seven goals and seven assists in 18 games, notching the shootout winner in the team's last win.
He did not score in the previous game against the Flames, registering an assist.
Both hit the road
Maxim Lapierre and Guillaume Latendresse, who showed signs of breaking out last week, have fallen back to Earth with a pair of scoreless outings.
Andrei Kostitsyn, slumping even worse, reportedly has spent time on the top line at practice with Gionta and Scott Gomez. The forward from Belarus hasn't scored in his last 13 games.
Montreal heads out for a two-game road jaunt, starting with Phoenix on Thursday.
Calgary plays on consecutive nights beginning Friday in Buffalo.
The Flames will play the first of three games without Curtis Glencross, suspended for that long by the NHL on Monday for his hit away from the play on New York captain Chris Drury.
