Weapons, cash seized from 3 drug-dealing probes

Three separate police investigations into drug trafficking in Calgary have led to the arrests of nine people and the seizure of weapons, drugs and cash.
The first bust started in October when two men were seen conducting what appears to be a drug deal in their vehicles.
Searches of two northeast homes on Covemeadow Road and in the 300 block of 40th Street, as well as a 1992 dark green Honda Accord, uncovered:
- 617.5 grams of crack cocaine.
- 379.3 grams of cocaine.
- Cocaine conversion lab equipment.
- $15,165 in cash.
Two men, aged 27 and 29, were charged with 13 offences, including possession of cocaine/crack for the purpose of trafficking.
In the second investigation, a police search of a home in the 100 block of Erin Gove Court S.E. resulted in three men and one woman charged with 169 drug and weapons offences.

Inside a locked steel storage unit in the home, officers found a .22-calibre rifle, a .25-06-calibre rifle, and a .303-calibre rifle.
A 12-gauge shotgun and Colt 45 revolver were also discovered, along with an assortment of knives, meat cleavers, hammers, bear spray and a non-functioning crossbow, said police.
One of the men was charged with breaking a prohibition order against possessing a weapon, and another man was charged with breaching conditions.
In the third investigation on Oct. 29, two men in a 2003 BMW X5 were seen speeding, driving erratically and conducting what appeared to be several drug deals in northeast Calgary, said police.
Officers arrested the pair, catching one of them after a short foot chase.
A search of a home in the 100 block of Whiteland Bay N.E. resulted in the seizure of:
- Samurai sword and sheath.
- Paintball rifle.
- A six-inch knife.
- $108,985 cash.
- 16.9 grams of crack cocaine.
Three men, aged 20, 21, and 22, were charged with drug and property offences.
