Man dies in Maple Ridge domestic dispute

A 50-year-old man is dead and his 42-year-old wife is in police custody following a domestic dispute in Ridge Meadows on Tuesday night.

RCMP said officers arrived at the couple's home at 9:45 p.m. PT and found the injured man. He was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to Ridge Meadows Hospital.

The woman was arrested at the scene and was also taken to hospital where she is expected to recover from undisclosed injuries. She remains in police custody.

Homicide investigators were called in to investigate the incident, but few details were released. The couple's names are being withheld until the man's family can be notified.
