Raminder Badh urged the men responsible for his parent's death to come forward. (CBC) The family of two people killed in a hit-and-run last year in Surrey, B.C., made a public plea Wednesday for those responsible to come forward.
Dilbag and Bakshish Kaur Badh were on their way home from their daughter's engagement party when they were killed on July 12, 2008.
Rupi Badh, the bride-to-be, was driving the car carrying her parents and sister when the red BMW was knocked into a telephone pole by a white Acura TL just after 1:30 a.m., police said at the time.
They also alleged the Acura sideswiped a Camaro before flipping and skidding to a stop on the 8500 block of 128th Street. Two men were seen running from the scene.
"What we want from the individual is for him to apologize and take responsibility for his actions," Rupi Badh told reporters nearly a year after the crash. "It's clear to me what he did. He killed my parents."

They said several witnesses have come forward, but there have been no breakthroughs in the case.
Family members stood at the crash site Wednesday, frustrated the community has not done more to bring the two men to justice.
"If we do not come together, what good are we?," said the victims' son, Raminder Badh. "For the last year, our family has been going through torment."
The family is hoping their public plea will help bring answers and closure to a painful memory.
"We understand, as the family, no sentence will ever give us any type of justice," said daughter Varinder, who was seriously injured in the crash. "It's not about vengeance. This is about accountability and responsibility."
