Police recover golden treasures of artist Bill Reid

Police in B.C. say some of the artwork stolen from the University of British Columbia's Museum of Anthropology has been recovered.
Twelve works of gold jewelry by Haida artist Bill Reid and three Mexican necklaces comprised of gold coins were stolen from the museum overnight May 23 in a highly sophisticated break-in.
The RCMP executed a raid on a home in south Burnaby overnight Sunday, and said other search warrants were being executed Monday.
Police confirmed some of the artworks had been recovered intact, but would not say which ones, or how many.
They would not say whether they have made any arrests, and said they did not expect to release any more information on Monday.
Previously police had told the CBC the prime suspect in the case was a thief from the Lower Mainland known to target high-end jewelry stores.
