2 sex offences reported in Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Park area

Vancouver police are warning women in the Queen Elizabeth Park area to be cautious when walking late at night in the neighbourhood after two sexual offences were reported this week.

The two separate incidents happened between 8:30 p.m. and midnight on June 2 and 3, police said in a release on Wednesday.

The women were walking alone when a stranger approached them, exposed himself and then grabbed the victims.

The attacker wore a hoodie that concealed most of his face.

On May 21, a man grabbed a 20-year-old woman from behind when she was walking home at night in the area of W. 40th Avenue and Ontario Street.

Police said the man pulled the woman to the ground, but she screamed and kicked him in the leg, scaring him off. This attacker is described as skinny and about six-feet tall. He wore a white hoodie that covered his head.
