The parents of a group of Beaver Scouts at a sleepover at Vancouver's Science World woke up to a rude surprise Sunday morning, after finding their cars keyed.
A vandal scratched the paint on almost 80 cars left in the parking lot overnight. Such damage is often called keying because it can be done with a simple key.
About 80 cars in the Science World parking lot were scratched by a vandal some time overnight Saturday.

Police have no suspects and cannot say if this incident is related to other recent keyings in the Lower Mainland.
As many as 100 cars in the Vancouver suburb of Coquitlam had their paint jobs damaged with large scrapes over the Easter weekend, March 22-24.
Two weeks before that, close to 300 vehicles were keyed at the Silver City movie theatre, also in Coquitlam.
