English soccer superstar David Beckham has hit the ground in Vancouver and thousands of fans are waiting to see him lead the Los Angeles Galaxy in an exhibition match against the Vancouver Whitecaps Wednesday night.
Beckam and his team arrived at Vancouver airport Monday afternoon, and he spoke to the press Tuesday morning before practice.

The star said he's been frustrated by recent injuries, but is ready to play Wednesday night's match at B.C. Place.
Even though it's an exhibition game, Beckham said he wouldn't be holding back.
"It's important that you still perform in these games because I still want to win the game tomorrow whether it's a friendly or whether it's not," he said.
"I've been lucky enough in my career to play in World Cups and some of the biggest games in world football, and exhibition games are part of that. Even at Real Madrid and Manchester United you play in exhibition games," Beckham said.
The former captain of England's national team joined the Los Angeles Galaxy earlier this year in a reported five-year, $250-million US deal.
Beckham first signed with Manchester United at the age of 16 and was later traded to Real Madrid.
He is married to Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.
