The number of Sockeye and Chum has dropped off significantly. Bears are suffering. Conservationists are concerned.

Some are predicting a tragedy for the animals who depend on salmon. Meanwhile, the number of Pink salmon is strong and fishery is having a great season. Tourism outfitters continue to offer you a chance to swim in the sea with tens of thousands of salmon all around.
