First Review: Carpenter A., VancouverI admit I do like docs...This one is made with the use of the father /son relationship struggle. The main character the film maker's father, is a self absorbed sort.
I very much enjoyed the journey into the world of masters bodybuildiing. The son realizes during the filming of the father's competition prep that Dad isn't such an ogre after all. In the role of the viewer of the film I grew closer to the main character and actually was cheering for him at the end. In the use of the sport of bodybuilding as a backdrop the son tells a wonderful story of drawing together and settling old wounds.
Well done ...with great moments of humor.
