NDP leader Carole James re-elected in Victoria-Beacon Hill
New Democrat leader wins second term in home riding

New Democratic Party Leader Carole James has been re-elected in her home riding of Victoria-Beacon Hill, CBC News projects.
James took over 57 per cent of the popular vote, with 12 per cent of the polls reporting.
B.C. Liberal Dallas Henault had about 25 per cent of the popular vote, followed by Adam Saab of the Green party at 17 per cent and Independent Saul Andersen with less than one per cent.
James was elected NDP leader in 2003. She won her first seat in the British Columbia legislature in 2005 in Victoria-Beacon Hill with 57 per cent of the vote.
