B.C. Liberals take first riding victory

The B.C. Liberals have taken the first declared riding in B.C.'s 2009 provincial election, CBC News projects.
With approximately 10 per cent of the polls reporting, Liberal John Yap has taken more than 60 per cent of the vote in the Richmond-Steveston riding.
B.C. New Democrat Sue Wallis won approximately 25 per cent, followed by the Green Party's Jeff Hill with eight per cent and B.C. Conservative Barry Edward Chilton with four per cent.
