Liberals, NDP neck and neck in Vancouver

The race for Vancouver's ridings couldn't have been closer: The B.C. Liberals took the slight majority, scoring six out of a total of 11 seats.
In Vancouver-Fairview, B.C. Liberal Margaret MacDiarmid took just over 50 per cent of the vote, while incumbent New Democrat Jenn McGinn won just under 40 per cent. The Green party's Vanessa Violini got under 10 per cent.
In 2005, McGinn defeated MacDiarmid by 816 votes.
In Vancouver-Fraserview, Liberal Kash Heed, the former West Vancouver police chief, got just under 50 per of the vote. New Democrat Gabriel Yiu polled about 45 per cent and Green Jodie Joanna Emery received just under five per cent.
The riding was previously held by Attorney General Wally Oppal, who announced in March he would be running in Delta South.
In Vancouver-Mount Pleasant, incumbent NDP Jenny Wai Ching Kwan took over 60 per cent of the vote. Liberal Sherry Darlene Wiebe polled just over 20 per cent and Green John T. Boychuk got about 15 per cent.
In Vancouver-Point Grey, Premier Gordon Campbell clinched his own riding with more than 50 per cent of the vote.
New Democrat Mel Lehan followed at about 40 per cent and Green Stephen Kronstein polled just under 10 per cent of the vote.
