Pure-of-heart Guinevere may be innocent and naïve, but her ambition and strong will makes her a source of great support and strength to Arthur as he grows into his role as king. Although she is betrothed to Leontes, one of Arthur's most loyal knights, she cannot deny the attraction she and Arthur feel for each other.
Tamsin Egerton portrays Guinevere in the original series "Camelot."
Egerton is rapidly becoming a well known face in the world of film and television. She is best known for her role as Chelsea Parker in St. Trinian's and St. Tinian's II: The Legend of Fritton's Gold. Other film credits include Driving Lessons - in which she costars with Rupert Grint and Julie Walters; as Flora in Knife's Edge; and Holly Goodfellow in Keeping Mum with Rowan Atkinson and Patrick Swayze.
She has many successful TV appearances, such as the BBC's upcoming adaptation of "Money," a drama adapted from Martin Amis' darkly comedic tale of greed and flawed ambition; and ITV's adaptation of "Octavia," in which she played the title role.
