Headed in the right direction?
Dec. 3, 2012
Years in the making, Calgary's newest LRT begins running on December 10, connecting Calgary's southwest to the city's downtown. City officials bill the new line as more than just six new stations and 8.2 km of track -- but part of a plan to "better connect Calgarians to the places that they live, work, shop and play."
No doubt, many expect, the new train line to change the southwest communities along its route. As the new line prepares to launch, CBC Calgary local News examine what the new LRT line means for the city -- and poses tough questions surrounding where the city should build its next LRT line.
