Fire cancels Orford Express season

1001976_708607052513890_4775726009874473655_n.jpgThe Orford Express, one of the main summer tourist attractions in the Eastern Townships, was ravaged by fire early this morning. As a result of the millions of dollars in damages, owners have to cancel the season. This will have an impact on about 80 employees and the more than 5,000 reservations already booked. The CBC's Eastern Townships reporter Alison Brunette joined Elias with details.

Bishop's Gaiters football team breaking records

It's been nearly 20 years since the Bishop's Gaiters football team hosted a play-off game on Coulter Field. Our Peter Black touched based with the star quarterback who has led the team to this coming Saturday's date with destiny. The pride of Oromocto, New Brunswick, Jordan Heather, talked about being part of the team that has broken a multitude of school, RSEQ and CIS records this season.

À Louer art installation in Sherbrooke

NiklasRoy-Sherbrooke.jpgIf you've walked along Wellington North in Sherbrooke recently, you may have spotted a "For Rent" sign that follows passers-by from one end of a store-front window, to the other. A video of this, and of peoples' reactions, has gone viral. No, it isn't a Just for Laughs Gags sketch but part of a media arts festival called, Éspace [IM] Média. Our Rachelle Solomon called up Berlin-based artist Niklas Roy to talk about his head-turning installation.
