Draining agricultural land in north-western Quebec

Farmers in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue say they fall behind the rest of the province when it comes to draining agricultural land. The CBC's Marika Wheeler was in the region and found out about a proposed $100-million project to keep the region's farmers competitive in their industry.

Sept Iles McDonald's staffed by Filipino employees

A labour shortage in Sept Iles has prompted the owner of the local McDonald's to look for workers overseas. The CBC's Marika Wheeler stopped by the fast food restaurant where Filipino employees are keeping the orders rolling.
