The amazing foot race of the War of 1812

Two centuries ago, some 600 soldiers from New Brunswick made a 1000-mile trip on foot to Kingston, Ontario. On Friday, a ceremonial march marked the 104th Foot Regiment's stop-over in Quebec City.  Our Peter Black found more about that amazing race of the War of 1812.  He met Private Gabriel Goulet of the Voltigeurs regiment, Captain David Hughes, the official historian of the Royal New Brunswick Regiment, and Brian Macdonald, a New Brunswick MLA who's been taking part in bicentennial commemorations.
