The amazing foot race of the War of 1812
Two centuries ago, some 600 soldiers from New Brunswick made a 1000-mile trip on foot to Kingston, Ontario. On Friday, a ceremonial march marked the 104th Foot Regiment's stop-over in Quebec City. He met Private Gabriel Goulet of the Voltigeurs regiment, Captain David Hughes, the official historian of the Royal New Brunswick Regiment, and Brian Macdonald, a New Brunswick MLA who's been taking part in bicentennial commemorations.
