The women of the George V Ice Canoe team
Ice canoeing is one tough sport, unique to this province, with teams of canoeists powering their way through the unforgiving St-Lawrence. Men usually compete in the sport, and in recent years, more and more women are entering the races. But rare among them is to have a team where almost all the women in the canoe have had a baby over the past year, or so. Jacquie met up with the women, most of them new moms, from team George V as they geared up for the big race.
