Wooden yurts made in Fermont
Still used in the steppes of Central Asia today, yurts are an ancient design of shelter, circular in form, made of felt or canvas. A group of four residents from the mining boom town of Fermont, in northeastern Quebec, is manufacturing modern yurts made from local wood.
